Backorders

We have just over 100,000 items listed on our web site. While we try to keep them all in stock, the reality is that we do have items that are out of stock, especially items from more remote or less developed countries from which delivery is erratic at best. Our policy is to ship an order as completely as possible and backorder any items that are not due to arrive for at least 4 weeks. We will then ship items as they become available, while trying to minimize the number of shipments on an order. We will hold orders open for 6 months. The customer will be charged shipping charges on backorders. If you do not want backorders, we will hold your order up to three weeks to complete your order. If you have a deadline, please say so in the "Comments" section below, so that we can do our best to meet your deadline, or offer alternatives. Please click either:

Once a month we send an e-mail newsletter to our customers. This newsletter contains special sales available only to our existing customers, plus announcements of new maps and other products before these products are available on our web site. We find that notifying customers by e-mail is much more cost-effective and environmentally friendly compared to mailing catalogs, allowing us to keep our prices the lowest available for our international products.
