Japan is a well-mapped country, with a variety of geological maps available, and complete topographic map coverage available at several scales. Many Japanese maps are bilingual maps (Japanese and English); particularly the tourist maps. A few maps are in Japanese only; particularly the topographic maps.
Japan has a series of 1:200,000 geology quadrangle maps, plus an excellent series of Marine and Continental Geology maps. Several other maps are of interest, such as the eruption map of Izu Oshima.
