We recommend the Italian 1:25,000 topographic maps and the Italian 1:50,000 topographic maps for those areas that are not covered by Kompass maps.

Walking in the Central Italian Alps. By Gillian Price. Cicerone Press. 1995, 1st edition. The guide covers the Vinschgau, Ortler and Adamello regions. These are regions of growing popularity.
