For this set we have assembled what we feel are the "best" road maps for each country/territory. We took into consideration the date, scale, and language of the maps. Thus there are not so many maps published by foreign governemtn map agencies, as they tend to be pre-2005 publications and we deemed the 2010-2013 dates of the Freytag/Berndt and ITMB maps more important than, for example, having the 1992 map of Niger published by the French IGN. We included an English-language China map rather than a Chinese-language "native" map.
We have also included maps for some of the more popular "Populated Dependencies." These can be included or excluded from the map set per your preference.
Contents of this set will vary as maps become available or go out of print. We reserve the right to substitute a map from a different publisher if we feel it is appropriate.
We have taken a little liberty and included some maps not strictly countries or dependencies, but covering areas of popular interest, such as Tibet.
