Belgium Topographic Atlas 1:50,000 (Topografische Atlas BelgiŽ. 1:50,000. Institut Geographique National, Belgium, 2002. This detailed 1:50,000 topographic atlas gives complete coverage of Belgium.
The contour interval varies according to the terrain, from 2.5 metres in the coastal areas to 10 metres in the Ardennes. Each map page covers approximately 11 x 12 km. Margin ticks for latitude and longitude are at intervals of 1'. No planimetric grid lines are drawn over the mapping, but outer margin ticks show Belgian Lambert projection coordinate values at 1km intervals.
Map legend is in Dutch, French and German. Extracts of 1:10,000 mapping for 18 town & city centres are included. Regional and provincial tourism offices are listed, and there are over 100 pages of supplemental tourist information for over 1500 locations and attactions. Indexed, all text other than map legend in French only.
The 1:20,000 series is a new series that is replacing the old 1:25,000 series. The 1:20,000 sheets are reductions from the new 1:10,000 series.
The first sheets appeared in 1991 and currently there are about 55 sheets available. The complete set that we offer includes all new 1:20,000 maps plus those 1:25,000 series where 1:20,000 sheets are not yet available. This set is in stock.
