These files are searchable lists of names that appear on the various Kompass hiking maps, along with the appropriate sheet number and grid location.
After each name is a number such as "894-D5/6" or "WB 901". Those numbers starting with "WB" refer to the various Kompass "Wanderbuch" (hiking guides); the number following the "WB" is the appropriate guidebook.
Those numbers without the "WB" refer to the hiking maps; an example is "894-D5/6" meaning sheet 894, grid D5/6.
Numbers beginning with "0" are at the scale of 1:30,000; numbers without a leading "0" are at 1:50,000. The "0" must be stated if it is there as, for example, "036" is a different sheet from "36".
More than 20,000 names are contained in this listing, which is the bulk of the names on the sheets. Unfortunately, some names that do appear on the sheets are not in this list; if you don't find the name you need, try other names nearby the locality of interest.
