Chapters cover geologic/geographic _topics, nature & environment, industry, health, education, trade, and tourism. The Atlas contains 603 maps on 273 pages plus 147 pages of text. Bilingual. India--Indian Maps & Plans Atlas. Susan Gole. 1989. A good book covering the history of maps and town plans in India. Expensive, but worthwhile for anyone interested in the history of development of India. Hardcover.

Ireland--Irish Historic Towns Atlas (continuing series). Royal Irish Academy. 1986-continuing series. These folios include descriptive text and several reproductions of historic maps for each of the cities covered. Seven atlases are now available, with more in progress. These are attractive and interesting folios.
Israel--Atlas of Jerusalem. Walter de Gruyter. 1973. 53 maps and 171 pages of text. We have only a single copy left of this out-of-print atlas. A new copy.
